Unlike other massages there is almost no pressure here; the aim is to gently encourage fluid movement under the skin and ease swelling and that heavy, puffy feeling.
What the treatment involves
The therapist uses palms and fingertips in slow circular motions toward the lymph nodes. The rhythm is steady and soft, and most guests slip into a deep calm during the session. Legs, abdomen, arms and the neck area are worked as needed.

Before and after
Drinking water before the session supports the flow, and it helps to skip tight clothing. Afterwards, keep drinking water and, if you can, take a short walk. Manual lymphatic drainage is as technical as it is gentle — direction, rhythm and light pressure all have to be right, which is why we leave it to experienced hands. Is it a firm massage?
No — quite the opposite. It is very light and gentle, and should not be confused with deep tissue work.
